Technology

Technology at EEPS

At Eltham East Primary School, we purposefully integrate a wide range of digital technologies to enhance learning and deliver the best possible outcomes for our students. Our well-resourced classrooms feature tools such as iPads, interactive whiteboards, Sphero robots, Bee-Bots, ClassVR virtual reality headsets, Makey Makey kits, Makedo tools, Osmo, LittleBits, Circuit Scribe, and Edison programmable robots. These technologies are used to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving while fostering engagement and supporting students in developing essential digital skills.

Our vision for e-learning is to use digital technologies with purpose and aptitude, creating a nurturing and respectful environment where students feel inspired to actively engage in their learning. Through programs like eSmart Week, we prioritise cyber safety and responsible digital citizenship, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the online world safely. We aim to foster self-awareness, curiosity, resilience, and social responsibility, empowering students to contribute positively to the world around them while embracing innovative opportunities for learning.

Students in Year 5 and 6 take part in weekly Creative Media lessons, where they develop their skills and knowledge in Digital Technologies and Media Arts.
