Child Safe Compliance
Eltham East Primary School Statement of Commitment
Eltham East Primary School is a child-safe organisation that welcomes all children and their families. We are committed as a community to ensuring that all our students are safe and feel safe. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and take proactive steps to identify and manage risks of harm to our students, as detailed in our policies below. We strive to build positive relationships between all members of the EEPS community founded on trust and respect. Child safety is a shared responsibility, and every person involved in our school has a role in promptly raising any issues or concerns about a child’s safety.
We take child safety concerns seriously and respond promptly when they are raised or identified. Particular attention is given to the child safety needs of Aboriginal students, students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, students unable to live at home, students with disabilities, children who identify as LGBTIQ+, and other children experiencing risk or vulnerability. We are committed to regularly reviewing our childsafe practices.
